Deepak Savitri Global Hospital & Heart Care (DSGH), Roorkee, is a 50-bedded multi-specialty charitable hospital (with sufficient space for an additional 50 beds), strengthening access to timely, quality care for underserved and low-income communities across the region.
About DSGH & Shree Krishnayan
DSGH began operations in October 2022 in Roorkee, Haridwar, Uttarakhand to address a critical healthcare access gap. From 2023 to 2025, DSGH has served 150,000+ patients—predominantly under-privileged rural and semi-urban families from the Roorkee–Haridwar catchment, including saints and pilgrims, and patients from neighboring states. Care is provided at marginalized pricing and eligible services are reimbursed under Ayushman Bharat.
DSGH functions under Shree Krishnayan Gauraksha Avam Golok Dham Sewa Samiti, a charitable society established in 2011 with 12A registration. One of its primary objectives is the care, maintenance, conservation and development of Indian breed (desi) cows across India. The organization has presence in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand, and currently supports the care ecosystem for approximately 30,000 unsheltered, non-milching desi cows.

Clinical Leadership
Dr. Mahendar Kumar — MBBS, MD (Medicine) (Gold Medalist), DNB (Cardiology), Interventional Cardiologist | Reg. No: UKMC 7834 — has been associated with our institution since 2000 and with DSGH since inception. He has previously served at Safdarjung Hospital and AIIMS, New Delhi for more than 10 years and anchors our cardiac and emergency services with deep clinical expertise and a strong commitment to under-privileged patients.
Uttarakhand’s Golden-Hour Challenge — and DSGH’s Commitment
Uttarakhand’s hilly terrain and long travel times frequently force critically ill patients—especially those with cardiac emergencies, stroke, trauma and poly-trauma—to travel to Dehradun or Delhi. These delays compromise Golden-Hour care and elevate preventable mortality risk.
DSGH is committed to mitigating this crisis through rapid stabilization, precise monitoring, safe anesthesia, timely diagnostics, and reliable emergency transport—so life-saving care can happen closer to home, reducing clinical risk and financial burden on underserved families.
